The BIE, during its general assembly in Paris on November 27, 2013, announced that Dubai had won the right to host Expo 2020.
Throughout the history of organizing international exhibitions, this is the first time that it has been hosted in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
It will be hosted by the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates during the period from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
Hosting the international exhibition will coincide with the exceptional celebrations in the Emirates of the golden jubilee marking the 50th anniversary of its union.
The United Arab Emirates has chosen the slogan ” Connecting Minds… Creating the Future ” as the title of the campaign to host the World Expo 2020 in Dubai , and 192 countries will participate in this event.
The United Arab Emirates has sufficient logistical capabilities to host this international event, as two-thirds of the world’s population can reach Dubai within a period not exceeding 8 hours by plane, and the number of hotel rooms will exceed 80,000 rooms that will be ready to provide the best amenities for guests during the period of the exhibition
